Orphan Archetype
In this fifty-day unit your students will learn to "read like a professor" as they investigate plot development, character arcs, symbolism, and make literary connections.
Choose from a variety of unit archetypes to design a flexible 7th- or 8th-grade scope and sequence.
Volume 1 introduces the orphan archetype as all students read The Secret Garden; then they apply learning to their choice of book club title, fromThe False Prince, Anne of Green Gables, or Oliver Twist.
Time Traveler Archetype
